Translating Common Ground
A truly magical day of creativity for Writers, Poets, Artists, Musicians, Photographers, Performers, and indeed for anyone creative. Incorporating the 10th anniversary celebrations of Fermanagh Writers in conjunction with Common Ground NI we will have a pop-up art exhibition of majestic landscape paintings by renowned local artist the late Jeremy Henderson and a talk by his wife, artist actress and performer Patricia Martinelli: a talk on the riverbank by world-renowned trout and salmon fly dresser Frankie McPhillips and Ireland’s famous gillie and fishing expert Packie Trotter: talks by the conservationist Anja Rossler on the flora and fauna to be found on the farm and an overview of the Common Ground mission by Robbie Breaden.
You will have lots of time to explore the farm and to chat with friends old and new and ample time to create some new work if that is your wish.
Cooking facilities are limited so everyone is asked to bring their own food. Wear sturdy shoes for walking and clothing to suit the weather. We will have a pop-up display of works created on the day in one of the farm buildings.
The farm entrance is unmistakeable….. there are silo bales brightly painted with animals at the entrance lane to the farm which is 200 metres approx on the Fivemiletown side of Cooneen Church. If you are driving, please park your car in the village and walk up.
A £5 donation to Common Ground NI (a not for profit organisation) is expected of each guest. This will help towards the achievement of the goals of Common Ground.
