Corncrake is now ten years old and it’s time to return to our roots – celebrating the Arts in all their forms in Fermanagh and the surrounding area (anywhere whose waters meet the sea at Assaroe).
Next month Fermanagh Writers will be joining with others in the first Wilde Day festival. Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett were educated at Portora but there are many other poets and playwrights with connections to the County, never mind writers, artists, musicians, performers, and works of art of all kinds.
For this issue we would like you to choose one of these that speaks to you and write something inspired by them. It may be poetry or prose (up to about 800 words) factual or imaginative. The choice is up to you.
Accompanying images are especially welcome, but please make sure that they are free to use and their source has been properly acknowledged.
